This two-day workshop gives attendees a foundational framework for successful beekeeping in our unique desert environment and will be split between classroom learning and hands-on apiary training. This course is taught by Amy Rogers of Desert Hives.
Participants will focus on how beekeepers can help the bees meet their needs of good habitat, nutrition, and disease resistance. You'll also receive resources for continuing your beekeeping education (information on local and state beekeeping organizations and online resources).
This event is on both Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-12:00pm.
